msx test 3

And yet another snippet. To be turned into a song as well :P

Comments

bucky : This sounds great. More crisp than any FM msx soundtracks that I recall listening to, for sure.

poke-1,170 : didn't know the opll was used in the japanese master system, or as an expansionboard for the mark III :) I believe it's a cheap ass version of the OPL soundchip, so it's common both are used on the msx (as cartridges). the music module also has a sample channel and mid in/out/thru

poke-1,170 : ah that's the OPLL one indeed, FM PAC with 1 user sound and 15 presets. the other I used is the OPL, music module with 16 custom sounds you can use.

little-scale : OPLL == YM2413, no? 9 channels / 15 with percussive mode; 15 preset instruments, 1 custom?

poke-1,170 : nope... OPL and OPLL fm chips, and the AY 3-8910 for some of the drums. tracked on an msx2 computer by philips
