Chiptune M1DY

I am trying to make chiptunes in boss music style but I've got musicians block so instead I made this song which is heavily influenced by M1DY :) and maybe maru too, I've been listening to him alot recently ^_^

Also to coin a genre name for my chiptunes that sound like boss music:
Apocalypse Chip!

Also, this was made with LSDJ using 3 tracks on a DMG-01 brick :)

velo : for your "genre name" it sorta happened. This is like softcore gabber to me. And DEFINITELY needs some work. Add a bassline and work on the arps.

IAYD : Eh -- nice attempt. Sometimes the melody was decent, but a majority of the arps made me cringe because they were out of tune. I also thought that there was going to be some kind of bass line, but it remained empty throughout the song. Needs more variation on the kicks, for sure.

ElectricAlchemist : The melody is not random notes, thats why I can whistle it :P but who ever said songs without fully formed fucking mozart-tunes were bad? ;) Also I dont want variation in my kicks! I want relentless intense kicking! Lastly you say it's speedcore then say it's not fast enough to be speedcore, this is what I realized and why I didn't say "this is speedcore" ;)

chiphydra : I like the effort, but there's a couple problems with this. First of all, the melody is just random notes that makes no sense whatsoever and it just gets obnoxious after like the first 5 seconds. Second, there was little to no variation in the kicks at all and that made it pretty boring and uninspired. Third, you could have just summed up the description with just "this is speedcore" because that's what m1dy makes, you know? This is just a mess of trying to be too soft with the melody and not quite hardcore, or even fast enough to be speedcore.

ElectricAlchemist : Thankyou BANJ! :D I already love the reception this song has had :) -ary-bo-bary; boss music is the music that plays when you battle a boss in a video game, it allways (or atleast should) sound evil and dark! Impending or doomy :) I'm sure you know what I mean ;)

BANJ! : This is fucking mental! - This strikes me as some one with a split personality - who's furisoly angry yet at the same time feeling nutoriosly chipper and optimistic about the whole ambivilant feeling's they're experiencing - anywho weirdly nice song!
