I used Live 6

Comments

Teh Forsterer : Im usually not that negative, but this made me sad. Honestly, I think slamming my genitalia against a fridge would require more skill, rhythm and plug ins that this contains.

Joedouken! : that was proper shit. kid.
at April 23rd 2008, 01:36 PM

Jdub : that was cheesy as fuck. oi oi dickweed get ou'ta dis 'ere chi'tune collec'ive. oi oi muddafacka!
at April 15th 2008, 01:35 PM

Jdub : one love, one heart people. let the man do as he pleases.
at April 15th 2008, 01:33 PM

J. Arthur Keenes : Not really chiptune much, but I kinda like it.
at March 11th 2008, 11:22 PM

qwerty : that sucks
at March 11th 2008, 10:55 PM

Arioch : Horribley discordant, and not to any interesting effect.
at February 28th 2008, 01:33 AM

Fameboy : Hmm, there's a bundle of things wrong with this picture, the first obviously being that this is not a chiptune, while this is a clearly designated site for chiptune pieces. Secondly, the song isn't even correct in timing, as 18Z stated. Finally, your views on the situation at hand are off-kilter; your current songs don't belong on this site, it isn't everyone else. If you'd like to create some actual 8bit pieces, please feel free to do so. I for one will not hold a grudge later on if you choose upload actual pieces.
at February 19th 2008, 05:28 PM

AbrahamLincoln : Amazing, it sounds like a man getting spasms while playing a chiptune harmonica.
at February 19th 2008, 12:38 PM

1-800-ZOMBIE : not chiptune. songs off time.
at February 19th 2008, 12:28 PM

0010100 : I can hear where you used magical 8bit, but I really don't like this song tbh, You need to make that annoying instrument that you used on the intro have a faster decay and release time. It just rings out and layers itself, but in fairness I've heard that instrument so so many times on new musicians tracks its getting so boring and I'm pretty sure i heard it on your last track, or something very similar, so I'd advise drop it. Better mixing advised. I know your new, but your better off not mixing it at all than mixing it badly because this sounds like a riff with some crap floating around it. Block your tracks, everything should sit on top of each other nicely and tightly and should sound like a whole. the drums need WAY more punch as they just kinda sit there like an overused sample. This is my opinion. This is me offering some constructive criticism towards your track, ignoring the facts that I hate you, I hate your music, I REALLY hate your music, and I hate the fact that your still here pretending everythings cool. I'm just pointing that out i'm not trying to start a fight. And Also, I've noticed you seem to defend your ''style'' of 8bit alot. Nobody cares what genere you make! the undefinable the better! Nobody is saying that 8bit has to be upbeat and happy and fast, I don't know where your getting this idea from.
at February 19th 2008, 11:51 AM

Grrryph : A comment discussion! :O I agree with everyone else, and you can't say that it's not 8bit to us because it's just NOT 8bit. Not to you, not to me, not to your mother or the old guy who drinks whisky from his show. This is 8bit collective: A site for CHIPTUNE. And this isn't a bad track at all, I'll compliment it in fact;it's pretty good! But like everyone has said...YOU KNOOOW.
at February 19th 2008, 09:53 AM

monkeydisco : woah, looks like this track provoked quite the response! i'm too scared to contribute though hahaha
at February 19th 2008, 08:55 AM

xulthis : this isn't 4-bit!!
at February 19th 2008, 07:51 AM

Derris-Kharlan : 1) this is not chiptune 2) it is not a bad track though 3) nobody having this discussion is complaining because they have an underlying hate for you, so stop being so defensive and listen to what people have to say i like this track and it is very creative, but it is not chiptune.
at February 19th 2008, 03:26 AM

hellostereo : this is not chiptune. if you called this chiptune, then postal service is a chiptuner i guess. :|
at February 19th 2008, 01:14 AM

!oven rake! : Did the awkward square with the awkward attack just scream chiptune? I think that this is way too poly sounding to be considered anything remotely related to the olden days of our 4/8/16 bit systems. Have you even heard of White Noise?(not that shitty movie, the actual waveform) .DMCs? .NSF's? It just really seems like you have a real false sense of identity here, and I'd like to know how you even stumbled upon here.I know this has been done to death but I'd just like to state that this little punk rock attitude you got is just perplexing. Though, this is really weird coming out of the guy who thrives on noise rock and Mike Patton-esque nonsense, I'll just end my faggot-ass little rant with "Know the rules before you start breaking them".
at February 19th 2008, 12:39 AM

BINARY HERO : lol i you dont need chip hardware
at February 18th 2008, 08:08 PM

casiokid : lol i'm up way to late... this discusion looks fun but a tad mean, i actually think the songs kinda cool but i do agree with both sides of the arguement lets get along and rave it up tonight at pixel party yeah :) omgz only like 14 hours to go. btw any of u guys from UK? casio jack
at February 18th 2008, 07:54 PM

rhinostrich : how? there's no chip hardware in your set up. we've seen the pic. :P i'm not sayin there's anything wrong with your music, just that it would fit in better somewhere else.
at February 18th 2008, 07:51 PM

CCIVORY : thank you. that's all we ask
at February 18th 2008, 07:45 PM

BINARY HERO : i will make a track that will be obvious that its chip just for you guys
at February 18th 2008, 07:41 PM

bleepheartbleep : exactly.
at February 18th 2008, 07:26 PM

rhinostrich : i'm not tryin to be a dick, just throwin my 2cents in on the matter. if you write something on an NES, commodore, atari, fasttracker, etc. i'd love to hear it, but using 1 squarewave doesn't quite represent what i (and probably most people) expect from this site.
at February 18th 2008, 07:23 PM

BINARY HERO : then maybe they should change the name of the site to LSDJ COLLECTIVE but untill they do i will continue to upload my 8Bit
at February 18th 2008, 07:16 PM

rhinostrich : can i upload a live band if i crush it down to 8bit? :P shit, some akai samplers and alot of synths are 8bit, i don't think they have a place here, though. to me the point of this website is chiptune and demoscene/tracker type stuff. using live bypasses all the contraints you would have to deal with otherwise.
at February 18th 2008, 07:09 PM

bleepheartbleep : its not 8bit to anyone!!! you can get lsdj for $0.01 now! go buy that and make some chiptunes.
at February 18th 2008, 06:59 PM

BINARY HERO : i use magical8bit on that track
at February 18th 2008, 06:58 PM

BINARY HERO : to you its not 8bit get over it
at February 18th 2008, 06:56 PM

CCIVORY : ...mad...8bit...what
at February 18th 2008, 06:34 PM

BINARY HERO : i use 8bit sounds just cause i use them a diff way then you you get mad lol
at February 18th 2008, 06:32 PM

CCIVORY : 8bit means using 8bits of sound...
at February 18th 2008, 06:28 PM

BINARY HERO : just becuase i make slower bit dosent mean its not 8bit
at February 18th 2008, 06:24 PM

bleepheartbleep : i agree with ccivory. if people can just upload any old music on here it just defeats the point. i come on here to listen to 8bit music.
at February 18th 2008, 06:23 PM

BINARY HERO : to you it obviously is not
at February 18th 2008, 06:17 PM

CCIVORY : alright. let's see, this is a site for 8bit/chiptune music and discussions. is this 8bit/chiptune music?
at February 18th 2008, 06:13 PM

BINARY HERO : that went over your head nvm
at February 18th 2008, 06:07 PM

CCIVORY : great. you should put them up and not the not 8bit music that you've been putting up.
at February 18th 2008, 06:02 PM

BINARY HERO : i make bit music chill out just cause i dont make that up beat happy 8bit
at February 18th 2008, 05:59 PM

CCIVORY : k, why do you keep posting non 8bit music on here...? this sounds like an attempt to create the early works of aphex twin. like i said before, your sounds are nice pure and smooth, but it's not chiptune...again. there needs to be some regulation on here once in a while...
at February 18th 2008, 05:58 PM

STOP_EJECT : interesting. i like it :]
