B00daW

no war no peace no peace no war

I coded a Fairchild Channel F (VES) sequencer in my free time. The VES only has 1 channel and 3 different square waves. The console was released to the public in 1976. What's neat about the VES is that you can output pure tones (unlike the Atari 2600/7800's TIA.) I'll be releasing the sequencer as soon as I make it slightly more user-friendly. Enjoy 1 channel 1970's chip lovin', kids.

Comments

B00daW : this is a demo track. yep. demonstration purposes. since this was made in the early alpha version, the notes have been more finely tuned and other people have used the engine and made more impressive songs. thanks for the interest and disinterest though.

retroboytimo : it sounds kinda cool. but I saw it more as something impressive to do, instead of something musical.

cookies : I dunno if I'm supposed to be impressed. I don't care if b00daw made it harder for himself to make music. It's like saying "Why don't YOU chop off YOUR legs, and try and run a marathon?!" Just because some other jackass did it, doesn't mean I'm going to. Regardless, One very clean, nice channel, have to say if you were to put a back track / harmonize that with other tracks, it would be fantastic.

team e : @blip violence How about i give you a copy of b00daw's sequencer and you make a tune in it :P

Blip Violence : 1 channel - does not mean "well". This fizzle sound make me hurt. If that's cool, I don't understand the music.

B00daW : If I can get notes coded for a PAL console, there is a guy in Sweden (e5frog) that says he could hardware record for me. :D
