MOLOH (ジャガーノート) began in 2007 as an experimental musical project, strongly influenced by JAPAnoise artists like Masami Akita or The Incapacitants. Later on, following the seemingly chaotic structure of the Harsh Noise Genre, I started mixing breakcore, gabber and hardcore Drum and Bass with old-school 8 bit Nintendo-like sounds, trying to bring something new to power electronics and further myself from the chiptune and chipbreak scene. I’ve been fortunate enough to share the stage with tremendous DNB, metalcore and hardcore acts and I’ve always tried to turn each show into a unique blend of those unforgettable sounds hailing from the 8 bit days with the energy of an extremely aggressive breakcore act. MOLOH (ジャガーノート) is reminiscent of those care-free days when we used to spend hours in front of our TV playing Nintendo games, watching tons of classic horror movies with no special effects and still get tremendously frightened in the process, engage in wreckless experiments not for the outcome but for the thrill of it. MOLOH (ジャガーノート) is musical dadaism, a strange mix of classic electronica, 8 bit sounds, aggresive breaks and noise, all into one.

MOLOH : @Dexter .. the 8 bit song was split into 31 small parts and the beats were carefully placed on each part. I really wouldn't consider that random. Indeed, the kick drum was excesive.

Dexter : to honest, breakcore is not an excuse for a poor drum beat. breakcore is a genre that has " speed, complexity, impact and maximum sonic density". This is not complex, nor does it have impact, nor is it constant. the beats are very random and there is too much repeating of the kick drum.

JA92 : @ velo, does that mean that everything that sucks is subjective to your opinion?

MOLOH : @ Failotron .. i surely take some of this as constructive criticism, I just disagree with some oppinions about the pattern being random. In my oppinion the pattern is well defined, the sync is flawed once in a while and I can surely work on some parts but it's not that bad. I've tested the song in several live shows and people like it so as far as I'm concerned, that's all that matters.
On a sidenote, I would also be more open to criticism coming from someone who actually used some amen breaks in their songs but people replying to this are mostly doing chiptune (hence the comparisson between breakcore and chiptune)
I may have a different view on experimental music that some people here, I don't know.
Either way, I'm glad to hear something from you, thought you died and gone to Heaven ... or something :D

failotron : although i realy like you stephan in all ways, please consider that breakcore is not just about the amen sounding, but the way you put the beats together as well, it follows a realy complex patterline, wich is not to be confused with random fucked up beats. About the thing of comparing judgement towards breakcore with judgement towards console music is just nosense. Take care and still love you :)

MOLOH : Thank you for all the feedback, I really did not expect any response at all, but nevertheless, thank you.
First of all, I really do think some of you just take some of the rules of music too seriously. You're critical on the amen breaks yet you have no issues in listening to music out of a gaming console.
First of all, it's supposed to be breakcore and this genre is one of the most permissive genres out there.
Second of all, I've been working on this song with someone by the name of Core Corp, some guy who many consider to be the best Eastern European breakcore producer, a guy who played shows alongside names like Aaron Spectre, Noize Supressor or Negative A. He's responsable for most of the amens here and few would say he doesn't know what he's doing.
If you think the song sucks, it's ok, you all have the right to an oppinion. Thank you for all the constructive criticism.
