I've mostly made music in FL Studio, LMMS, Hydrogen, and in programs with my guitar, but I'm working on using LSDj.

DJ Fartbot : I still use monitors from around 1995 and they work just fine for me! (aside from the blurriness) haha. People literally leave perfectly good CRT monitors out on the street as garbage... and I've found quite a few that way haha.

My green gameboy has "SPC" carved on the side of it for some reason... but I did get it at goodwill for only a few bucks, and I didn't even notice it for a while.
