The Secret Life of a Bitmap Typeface

I'm working on the flyer for the next Pulsewave show at the Tank. I thought some of you would enjoy to see the process. For this flyer, I chose to draw letters from scratch specifically for video displays. I ought to note that I don't draw a grid beforehand. The visible grid is a result of the manner in which I work while placing pixels - I shift things around in constant increments. The resulting grid is usually a mixture of metric and optical systems. Oh yeah, don't forget to click the image. You'll see a nice, big ol' *.gif
