Some ProSounded Boys by little-scale
Four prosounded Game Boys. From left to right: grey DMG with internal prosound (using HP jack), black DMG with grey DMGs button and a clear back with internal prosound (with socket on the back), colour GB with internal prosound (with socket on the back) and overclocked to 8MHz DMG with internal HP prosound. All have green LEDs now.

Itsjowe_fish : Shiney shiney black DMG :) Little scale - have you seen any of my recent E-mails?

little-scale : @ 0xFFender: The saving and loading is much quicker and is completely problem free. Surely the thing that is limiting the speed of the SRAM writing and reading is the speed of the main processor, not the timing of the SRAM.
Yeah sure, you are allowed to change your LED if you want. No problems.

0xFFender : Hi Seb. Nice DMGs, especially the overclocked one, that i need to ask you about. Can you save without corruption on it? Becuz its reading/writng SRAM faster than normal (yeah, yeah, GBC is 8mhz, too, but Nintendo had extra circuits in the GBC...) creating problems. As for the green LEDs...am I still allowed to change my GBC one? I was going 2 straight after checking 8bc, into a green LED, but then read this...I know, late. Cheers, 0xFFender.

10k : *continues on from seb* it also potentially lowers the noise floor, creating a cleaner sound than the previous buzz infused sound.

little-scale : @ alexluthor: it is a simple modification that cleans up the output of a Game Boy and adds around 12 dB of signal when plugged into a mixer or recording device etc.

little-scale : @ falco - so did i. the normal speed for a DMG is just over 4MHz.
at May 12th 2008, 02:51 PM
AlexLuthor : so, what's prosound?
at May 12th 2008, 12:52 PM
Falco Lombardi : i emant the overclocked one not the pro sounds they wud be fine, ahhh i see, still go careful, you could do some damage to the GB :)
at May 12th 2008, 09:38 AM
little-scale : @ Falco: I had no problems with the batteries yet, but I haven't used the overclocked one. Anyway, i only use rechargeable ones. I believe a Game Boy will crash if it is running at 12MHz, but it runs without any real issues @ 8MHz.

henryhomesweet : Very tasty! :)

Falco Lombardi : overclocking is bad for gameboys :P and any piece of electronics for that matter :P their not meant to go that speed for a reason, it would probably eat batteries quicker
at May 12th 2008, 08:05 AM
little-scale : nah, no overheating. just smooth running! and of course it loads songs much quicker :-)
at May 12th 2008, 07:04 AM
Sparkyboy : Oh ok schweet. Probably handles those tables well. Doesn't it overheat or something?
at May 12th 2008, 06:42 AM
little-scale : Sounds different, acts different. I thought: "Why not?"
at May 12th 2008, 05:20 AM
Sparkyboy : Why would you want an overclocked one? Just out of interest sake.

little-scale : nonetheless, HI FIVE TOM, we're internet ProSound Pals!
