8-bit "Pärlplattor"

Mega Man, Mario Mushroom and Bubble bobble in Pärlplatta. Soon you will see these glued on the walls of Malmö! Explanation "Pärlplattor" is plastic beads placed on a plate with lines of pegs that let each pearl stay in place, then molten together by using a falt-iron. This crap is a swedish invention by an old guy named Gunnar Knutsson..

Bert Fisk : yes MM you are correct! The biggest pärlplatta was made of 150 000 pearls and resembled Zlatan Ibrahimović (a famous football player)

MM : sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A4rlplatta as far as I understand this text (and surprisingly I understand a lot without knowing a shit of swedish) he invented it in the 1960s. if you translate Pärlplatta word by word into German you get Perlenplätten. I'm always surprised how similiar these two languages are. did I got this one sentence right: Swedens biggest Pärlplatta was made of 150000 pearls? Jag Älskar Sverige!

boomlinde : Nice! You live in Malmö? I've seen a green plastic bead mushroom glued to a bench at Södervärn. I'm not sure it's still there, but I might go there and take a pic of it if it's still there tomorrow. Or maybe you can check it yourself; it's on the side of one of the benches at the stop for bus 146 towards Trelleborg. Anyway, some 8 bit street art might be nice as a change from all the Dan Park wheatpastes :)
